First Impressions: Metal Clay 101

Sat            8/26        10:00 - 4:00

(Chris Eschbach)

An introduction into the world of fine silver precious metal clay; perfect for the absolute beginner! Traditional metalsmithing experience is not necessary, it helps, but is not required.

Students will learn to manipulate metal clay in its pliable form, refine details in its dry form, torch fire their work and ultimately be left with a piece of pure silver jewelry. Time and intricacy dependent, students can expect to leave with a charm and/or a pair of earrings.

Throughout the day, tools, tips, standard practices and the infinite possibilities that metal clay brings to your jewelry making skill set will be discussed.

Skill level: No experience necessary

Tuition: $150.00
