Delica Geometric Beaded Bracelet

Louise will share her favorite delica beaded bracelet with you in this one-day workshop. Students can choose to make the one pictured here or use other colors to create their own palette. Beads, findings and needles will be given as a kit. All other supplies will be available during class. The resulting bracelet lies flat on your wrist and is light, airy, super comfortable and simply stunning!

Fundamentals of Making "Art" Jewelry

This workshop will introduce &/or enhance the fundamentals of jewelry making. We will learn about the process of texturing metal with various effects using both organic and inorganic materials in the rolling mill. Textures will also be created using a variety of burs in the flex shaft. The textured metal will then be cut into circular shapes that can be soldered or cold connected together. Types of rivets to be explored include: standard, tube and counter sunk. We will learn to set round faceted stones in thick walled tubes, adding a decorative element to your designs. Projects in workshop will be pendant or earrings.

Intro to Lampwork Glass Bead Making

Create unique, individualized glass beads to incorporate into your jewelry pieces. Lampwork glass beads are made with melted glass and shaped to fabricate beautiful one of a kind beads. In this workshop students will learn the basics of lampworking, making beads decorated with flower designs, silver foil, copper leaf and layers of glass designs.

Thirsting for more knowledge? This is the perfect class to expand upon the techniques you learned in Basic 101. Cabochon stones can be added using a variety of bezel setting methods. The project of a plain bezel cup incorporated into a pendant, pin or ring introduces soldering techniques in a logical step by step process. It also allows for individual design elements with the bail or ring shank. This is where the fun really begins!
